Donations
Funds
raised from this annual event have been contributed to organizations that
enhance the recreational, leisure and educational opportunities for adults with
disabilities in Northeast Florida. From the dedicated efforts of Rick and
the Foundation Board, construction of a multi purpose facility has been
completed on the
University of North Florida. This facility is used as 1) a training
and research laboratory in the College Health's physical therapy program; 2)
office and administrative space for the physical therapy program; and 3) a multi
purpose room which serves as a site for some of the on-campus leisure and
recreational activities planned throughout the year. These facilities are housed in the area beneath the 10,000-seat structure of the Olympic Track and
Soccer Stadium that was
completed on campus in the year 2000.
