that offer rehabilitative, educational, recreational, and
vocational opportunities for physically or mentally challenged
individuals (primarily those who live in the Northeast Florida
area), and to conduct fund raising activities for that purpose. |

As we prepare for our 18th annual Wilkins Foundation Celebrity Golf Tournament for Charity, we also want to extend our gratitude to R B Baker Construction, Tire Kingdom and Renda Broadcasting Corporation for their assistance and financial support for our tournaments
Funds raised from this annual event have been contributed to organizations that enhance the recreational, leisure and educational opportunities for adults with disabilities in northeast Florida. From the dedicated efforts of Rick and the Foundation Board, a multi purpose facility on the the campus of the University of North Florida has been built. This facility is used as a training and research laboratory in the College Health's physical therapy program, office and administrative space for the physical therapy program, and a multi-purpose room serving as a site for some of the on-campus leisure and recreational activities planned throughout the year. These facilities are housed in the area beneath the 10,000-seat structure of the Olympic Track and Soccer Stadium. Additionally, the Foundation provides recreational and social activities for adults with disabilities throughout the year. Over 2,000 individuals benefit annually from these activities that include Christmas parties, dance socials, sporting events, and outdoor picnics. The broad variety of benefits that come as a result of the Rick Wilkins Foundation Celebrity Golf Tournament make us keenly aware every year of what we can accomplish. Rick’s tournaments have been highly successful during the
past seventeen
years. As a result, these tournaments have become one of the
most popular and successful fund raising events in the area. We are very
excited about this year's event and hope you will consider being a part of our
